Boot Sector Scare

  Trying to install eeeXubuntu on my eee PC 701 in parallel with  XP I destroyed the bootsector (MBR).

Result no Xubuntu, no XP no nothing.

Now it is good to have backups… I’m using Drive Image XML which is free and did a wonderful job (even though I had to restore twice to get it going).

In addition to this I also use CrashPlan with a CrashPlan Central subscription for the data. This is not free but an extremely well built application.
