Twittering and Memory Leaks

30 January 2009 2 Comments

For several weeks now, I have been using TweetDeck extensively on my Macs and PCs.

For one it is cross-platform due to the underlying AdobeAir Framework and it has some features that make it unique.

Now this is all good and charming but today I found my PC pretty unresponsive when logging-in in the morning.

Surprise – Tweet deck was hogging some massive 3GB of Memory (I only have 2GB physical RAM).

This to me smells like a memory leak… Now I’ll have to think of shutting it down in the evening…

BTW – This doesn’t seem to happen on the Mac – Surprise ;-)

  1. Paul Green says:

Have to agree, Tweet Deck crucifies my system after it’s been running an hour or so..

  2. TweetDeck is still RAM-hungry on the Mac as well. Love it, but I have to switch it off from time to time.
