After the February redesign I saw some very annoying performance issues.

The Theme was gorgeous but extremely slow to load with all the scripts and images.

So I decided to go for a very simple and sober new theme in order to ensure a good user experience on eNik based on a heavily tweaked neutica theme.

Please let me know if you find any bugs/problems as there remain some more things to be done to finish the transition.

I decided to change the look for eNik some while ago.

Now it’s done with a brand new template based on the “Digital Statement” theme by BlogOhBlog.

When toying around with Google Analytics Custom Reporting I noticed a few interesting facts that I’d like to share with you.

Almost 20% of the traffic to this site comes from Netbooks with a 1024×600 pixel resolution:

Taking all pageviews with this resolution (1024×600), having Macintosh as OS we see that almost half of the visits are made with Hackintoshes (unless Apple have a MacBook mini/nano up their sleeve and they visit my site a lot :

Returning visitors are mostly Netbook equipped (hence the resolution of 1024×600):

Under OSX

Firefox beats Safari by some percent.

Under Windows

The Windows Netbook browser of choice seems to be Firefox with 66%.

Under Linux 

I just wanted to share the visitor statistics of my blog for the last month.

• On July 28th I published an article about installing Ubuntu on the eee PC – this got me the first “real” traffic at around 3-4 visits a day (hey you have to start somewhere
• On September 23rd, I then published the article on installing OSX on the 901 and the numbers went to a more or less stable 20 visits a day (with a total of almost 400 pageviews).
• And my new article about OSX on the 1000h sees the numbers exploding – I got 87 unique visitors (with 73% of them new ones) yesterday.

It seems that this blogging thingy is all about good content 

So keep those visits coming…

Update: It got “worse”. I’m now at a stable 150 pageviews per day with still around 70% new visits every day. This is utterly unexpected traffic for my small, personal and unambitious blog…
